Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do you travel?
-
To see a client’s skin tone accurately, color analysis must be done in a neutrally- colored room under full spectrum lighting. Recreating this situation and transporting equipment can be problematic. It is better for the client to come to me.

What is color analysis?
-
Personal Color Analysis (PCA) is the method of comparing large color swatches under a client’s face, to observe how their skin reacts. The skin’s response to warm colors compared to cool, dark colors to light, and bright colors to soft, describes the client’s color tone, or Season.

-
Is color analysis just for women?
-
My clients are women, men, and children
-
-
Does your season ever change?
-
You were born with a specific skin tone which does not change.
-
-
Does a suntan affect the consultation outcome?
-
A light tan is still your natural skin color and will
not affect the outcome. Spray tans and self-tanners use artificial
color however; let those fade before your color consultation.
-
-
Could I wear my new colors around my face and not worry about colors in clothing away from my face, such as pants?
-
The goal is to wear only colors in your season to create an overall harmony. Wearing your old colors while overhauling your wardrobe is understandable, but those colors will look out of place.
-
-
May I cheat and wear colors from other seasons?
-
Until you understand your season, it isn't a good idea. There is a slight overlap between some seasons which can be navigated with care. I don't promote doing this.
-
-
How much does color analysis cost?
-
The cost of an analysis is $350 for women, and $325 for men and children.
